Non-Metallic Sheathed Cable NM-B Cables
Non-Metallic Sheathed Cable (NM) with a “B” rating for higher heat performance.
Usage: Primarily residential branch circuits for general wiring in walls, ceilings, and floors.
Location: Suitable for dry locations only; prohibited in damp or wet areas.
Construction: Two or three insulated conductors (hot/neutral) plus a bare ground wire, wrapped in fire-retardant paper, covered by a durable PVC jacket.
Conductors: Solid copper, with PVC insulation and nylon jacket.
Voltage: Rated for 600 volts.
