UK power cords use the BS 1363 plug standard, which has been mandatory in Great Britain since 1992. The distinctive 3-rectangular-pin design with a built-in fuse is one of the safest plug designs in the world and is also used in Ireland, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and parts of the Middle East.

All our UK power cords are BSI (British Standards Institution) certified and compliant with BS 1363:2016+A1:2018. After Brexit, products sold in Great Britain now require the UKCA mark in addition to CE. We provide both CE and UKCA documentation upon request.Fuse Options & Type
UK plugs contain a cartridge fuse — a safety feature unique to the British standard.
