South Africa plugs, also called SANS South Africa Standard Plugs, SANS is changed from SABS standard and implemented according to SABS 164-1 South Africa manufacturing standard. This standard is changed on the basis of British Standard 546. South African plugs are divided into large South African plugs and small South African plugs, usually three cylindrical shapes forming a triangle. The largest pin (ground wire) in large South Africa plug is 8.7±0.04mm (cross-sectional diameter), and the two small pins (live wire and neutral wire) are 7.05±0.04mm. The largest pin (ground) of Small South Africa plug is 7.05±0.04mm, and the two small pins (live wire and neutral wire) are 5.07±0.04mm. Small South Africa plug is basically the same as large South Africa plug. The small South African plug pins are smaller than the large South African plug pins, and the spacing between the small South African plug pins is smaller than the spacing between the large South African plug pins.
